Any way when I got it all adjusted...

well I went and pulled the pan, the cork gasget...

well I went and pulled the pan, the cork gasget was off a little but not enough to leak at all, but went ahead and replace the gasket and left the viton seal alone. Put oil in and tilted it...

Even though I dont have the proper tool to pack the seal, I did use a very large socket to pack the seal into the groove(SP?). It was the cap that I packed it into then I fished it around the crank...

I kinda agree with everyone about the oil pan, but its such a pain to pull the motor again if it isnt it. Is there a way to test it without putting the motor in.

Ok still not to clear on this, I think we are talking about the area where i used a cork gasket. goes around the rear main cap, correct. I did have a rubber gasket with a couple of triangles on it...
