Alvin,

Good question;simple answer. We MOVED! I currently possess an IN concealed carry permit as IN is my legal residence. I can legally carry in 27 states on that permit. As soon as we established FL as our legal residence, I'll get a FL CCW and convert my IN permit to a non-resident permit. The ONLY state I can't carry in with IN permit south of the Ohio River is SC. MA is a totally different ballgame. It is a FELONY to have ANY firearm in your possession without a MA permit. This VIOLATES federal law which allows you to carry a properly stored firearm in your vehicle. When I used to drive to CT from IN, I would stow my pistol in a locked case through OH(doesn't recognize IN permits INSPITE of the fact IN recognizes OH permits), carry it in PA(legally; PA recognizes IN permit), then have to restow the weapon, lock the ammo in a separate box, make sure I had my copy of the federal law stating a COULD care a properly stowed weapon in my vehicle(per the NRA Legal folks), fuel up and cross the NY border praying I didn't get stopped. Once in CT, I didn't carry my pistol. I completed all the required paperwork, but didn't send it in since we moved here. I'm REALLY NOT planning on spending more than a couple of days in the northeast EVER again...........
