I am not a gun expert by any means, but I think the rounds you fire have a lot to do with stopping ability. I carry a Kimber Solo 9mm loaded with hollow-point ammo, and have a full size S/W 9mm with a laser sight loaded with the same in the house. The Kimber fits fine in my pocket. When I bought the Kimber, it said to use ONLY high quality 124 or 147 grain hollow-point ammo for proper operation. And were they right. It constantly jams on cheaper, lighter loads, but works perfectly otherwise.
I practice with the S/W, but the Kimber is for carry and only fires a few rounds at the range. |
