We had a few small used car lots like that in town in the late 70's & early 80's. Just an office big enough to turn around in. They were consignments lots as I remember. I guess the land became too valuable & they all fell to larger commercial buildings & parking lots.
Could look at picts like that all day.

Sounds like my car lot office..
