It's really a decent quality street head that is readily available and can be bought off the shelf from several vendors economically at different stages of porting to support anywhere from 700 plus bracket builds to 1000 hp aftermarket block builds.
I believe it's won more races than any other head produced for a Pontiac. Also it's the only legal NHRA aftermarket Pontiac head.
There is an emissions legal version available for states that require it.

Paul although it has displayed a great deal of accomplishments, that doesn't technically describe why it's a great race head.
