Starter is 1957 Olds ,,, wow.
Radiator support dated July 5 1973 Agree on fullsize spare originally . It wouldn't have the jack mount tab in the floor , and mat wouldn't be cut out for it. Jack would go under package shelf with SS. Window sticker wouldn't reveal , my 73 w/s didn't specify space saver , but was space saver by all witness marks on original mat. Jack bracket sliced before the splatter coat - no cut out in that bracket area on the mat. Car was ultra ultra original down to the dated ball joints and flat-spotted head pipes. Alternator fiasco was done early in the morning before I talked to her later in the afternoon. Mechanic assisting said "didn't think " it was original - aka he had no clue. No concerns about recovering the core , stampings not recorded = no clue at all. It has exited the scenario. No desires to pull wheels and gather more data points while on the lift. I ran it by them yesterday while it was still up. Daughter of original owner is the seller and BaT responder. Nearing 70 y.o. She was 16 when her dad bought it. Im guessing her son did the console speakers and 8track reduction. Has an H-O Racing Specialties SD camshaft. |
