I finally got out to the track last year. Best time so far: 9.18, with some serious engine issues. It's apart right now, but I hope to have it back together for Pontiac Heaven and run an eight.
It'll be four years this April since I started the project. Jim

Have you decided what to do with it yet? I ask because when I bought mine I intended to make it into a V-8 powered street car, but then decided to build it as an all-out tube chassis racecar.

I would like to run Ultra Quick 8 at Englishtown, but I have to check into it a little more. I think that they are getting too quick, around 7.00 or so. I do chassis work as a side business, so I'd like to do a round tube chromemoly car to show off my work. I just don't want a motor that is constant maintenance. I have a tall deck IA1 for it and was thinking about a blower. I'm finishing my '68 Firebird chassis and motor now, and that will run mid 9's, so I'm looking to do something different. I'm also doing a body off resto on my '71 GTO presently, so maybe it will be 3 more years until I get to the Tempest. By then I'll figure it out. Your car looks very nice by the way.

Here is my '62. Although it looks o.k. here, I just went the custom route. I lowered her a few inches and just finished painting her. She is now Satin Blue (suede) with a White Pearl top. I'll post some pix when I finsh putting her back together.
