I was thinking the Tri power but na, wouldn’t fit nostalgia look of a 70 GTO. I think guys would be drooling over 2-4 intake.

That Victor was cut in half ported and now weighs only a few pounds. Has over 2K just in labor in it. Had a chance to buy it for 1250$ Sometimes I wish I would have. But then he would not have it to build his Wilcox top end around and would not have it to build the BES Pro Port top end around either. I would like to see how it turns out. It might be so good we actually get a dyno sheet and ET slip ! But not sure how a intake ported to some 406cfm Gabby E heads is going to work on 480cfm Pro Ports. The PPs have got to have a bigger port. How much of that Victor is left ? Will it be welded up and further ported ? Then milled ? Mike straight up told me any Victor could not keep up with his 414cfm E heads. So how does this all work ? Jeff at KRE has got to have so much Pontiac heart and the desire to bring us all this new stuff despite the negativity he deserves some award for Pontiac Persistence ! No one is perfect, none of us. |

This intake has been out a few years now. Besides KRE and Tin Indian Performance results, does anyone here have real world results?

I have one, just haven't had time to mess with it yet. Just looking at it my opinion is it will make decent power but due to the short runners the power below peak will be soft.

I have 2 of the Tripower ones that I run with the Rochester carbs.
They're super nice intakes, and work really well. Be advised that they do have some machine work that needs to be done before you can install them. Both of mine req'd a .065" correction cut. And you will need to do some grinding on the back of the intake and the distributor cap (stock points distributor) to open that interference up. Also, the intake to cylinder head bolt holes need to be spot faced to get the bolts to sit flat on the intake. The 2nd one I bought I had Jeff open up to 340CFM to match the E-Heads I have on the 469, and the 1st one was ported to 310CFM to match the E-Heads on a 464. Here's some info from back when I bought/installed the first one: https://forums.maxperformanceinc.com...d.php?t=867123
