Be carefull of to much stall with overdrive don't...

Be carefull of to much stall with overdrive don't want to be cruising in 4th at your stall rpm. Unless it's lock up. ( I have almost the same combo .You need torque to pull from low rpm's.

Paul, I have the same car as you and I built my'n the way Cliff suggested and I am very happy with the results. Most impotent is to 0-deck the block.

My car runs 185 DEG all day long on 91...

If Your vac addvance is hooked to ported you are right on the edge and when it get up to temp it is pulling in some extra timing and causing the high idle.

ALL 67 firebirds came with 120 mph speedo. If yours has 160 it came from a 68.the face plate is a different color an has more hash lines on the 67, the lens cover on 67 is deeper, the 68 has chrome...

I finished my install an am very happy with it....

I finished my install an am very happy with it. had to modify the tail pypes to get them to fit high enough. xbrace was shimed 1-in in front and 1/2 in in middle plus a small cut out in middle....
