Curious, if the price was the same E-heads and the DCI round ports what is the difference? He projected, subject to change, $3299 / pair.

Doubt I would go 3k for a pair. Or any other pair.
After they copied, I believe a valve body, with the original manufacturers name, I will not buy from them.

The irony of this is the other brands come in at a lower price point.

Sounds like he has many more plans as soon as the heads become a finished product.

Paul was making aluminum Eheads look more like factory heads with casting numbers (7F6 etc) and making the butt ends look more factory'ish.
10 years ago or so.

Getting rid of the Edelbrock script and other logos is just a hand grinder and a couple hours away!. I wasn't trying to deceive anybody, so I didn't put any casting numbers on the heads. The angle plugs are a dead giveaway any way.

Sorry the pics are turned. It's an annoying feature I can't straighten out

Edit your pictures first by cropping them ever so slightly, then download them.

Then they won’t turn sideways.

Thanks for turning those pictures. They are from last year. I have about 2500 miles on it now. One of the advantages of aluminum is paint stays on the exhaust areas much better than iron.

Thanks for the tip B-man. I wondered how others seemed to fix that picture problem easily.

I can tell it's an old picture the blue masking tape holding the carburetors on hasn't burnt away yet

He should probably come on PY and read for himself. Doesn't seem like he's getting an accurate or complete description of what's being discussed here.

I think he's in the ballpark on price. Should complete nicely with the edelbrock round ports as long as it is a truly bolt on application with quality parts and machine work. Out of the box 300-320cfm is a sweet spot right now with good street builds. Lets face it, cars are getting a lot faster and not everyone takes them to the race track. If they perform as intended these are going to be a hit. I am interested to see what they will do when the expert porters get their hands on them. In my quick discussion with him it sounds like they have some extra meat in the break through areas and will hopefully eliminate the need to epoxy. I am going to try and get my hands on a set and do a back to back dyno comparison on the 461 stroker that currently has the old Edelbrock round ports. I am assuming the biggest market would be in the mid 400 ci range so this would be a pretty good test to see where a cookie cutter build will land.

This.

Maybe he could come on here and answer legitimate concerns about if the valve spacing, location and diameter will affect the ability of potential buyers to bolt them into an already built shortblock with common off the shelf Ross or whatever brand popular flattop forged pistons. That’s probably half of his potential customers right there.

Basing his opinions about the PY forums on information from second hand sources and then criticizing the PY forum community for expressing their opinions and concerns might not be the best approach.

My only criticism was they’re not going to look enough like a factory head for those who are looking for heads that closely match the look of OEM Pontiac heads. Not saying they’re not a good product in any way.

People who were hopeful that they’d look like real RAII or RAIV heads or whatever D-port flavor they’re interested in aren’t ever going to get what they’ve been wishing for. It’s easy to understand that nobody is going to the expense to make different molds for each particular head, there’s no profit in that clearly.

You have guys here thinking somehow that they’d have to be priced substantially below the current aluminum offerings from KRE or Edelbrock. Ain’t gonna happen guys, simple economics. So there goes that pool of potential customers who weren’t the target to begin with.

Again I’m sure they’ll be a well engineered part and an asset to the hobby.

Just because people have legitimate questions and concerns or share their opinions good or bad about a new product doesn’t make them haters.

There's another thread in the Street section with more activity than this thread.
It has a bit more critical thinking going on in it , but I haven't read any hate related type negativity.
Maybe he is getting some embellished memorandums.

This would be the best place on the internet to have chatter going on about a new cylinder head project coming to the market.

Agreed.

Using Facebook exclusively and not taking advantage of the biggest Pontiac forums on the ‘net to spread the word is selling himself short.

Just because people have questions and opinions both favorable and critical doesn’t make them haters. Let’s not play the victim when you’re clearly not one, there’s nothing to be gained by that.

It's easier to promote YouTube videos/podcasts on FB. Views on YouTube videos/podcasts make you money.

YouTube links can be posted here so again he’s missing out on a free avenue to promote his product and his podcasts and whatever else he’s doing.
