Yes, the aftermarket ones usually include a potentiometer. You will have to remove the tach and unseal the top and bottom

My Qjet hated the hat (turbine). If we used the bigger one and taped it to the air cleaner base without the reducer it did better but still killed some hp. Using the O2 sensors was better for me

Not a Pontiac motor but the carb info is valid. This is a 93 pump gas street/strip setup, idles with 13" of vac. The 800 CFM Qjet made just 2 hp (608 vs 610) and 7 ft lb shy of a Holley 950 Ultra HP....
