10.77 here, and no problem with pump premium. Also, the engine keeps begging for more advance, seems to like 38+.

The amount of compression the engine can take depends alot on what cam you choose...

I just put a set on and it made a big difference....

I just put a set on and it made a big difference. No wheel hop on smooth pavement, but it did stiffen the ride some and I think on a bumpy surface it would jump around alot.

All bets are off with the E-heads. Mine weren't even close. I did have taller valves, but I think the valve cover rails are much shorter on the E-heads than the stock heads.
