Lead Vs Putty

I have always used 80/20 Lead on seams for QP to roof and QP to filler panel on verts and other cars that have lead from the factory. Never had an issue with this method. Have had plenty of issues...

The 70-3 Firebird quarters Pass side has the DS light punch out, so only a DS light bezel fits and upside down, and still needs work to even do that.

Like dissolves like

Use WD40 on a rag and it will dissolve the grease and not hurt the paint. Then use a mild detergent to get the residue off.

Never get it from Single or Base/clear.

Spray gun DP90LF is the best and very resistant to chemicals since it is 2K. Pefect color match in my opinion.

Spray can is Tuff Coat I think it's from O reilly's in Lacquer. Not very resilient...

Use SEM semigloss black on the interior and put a semi gloss clear coat over it.
perfect match to OEM

Use PPG DP 90-black for under the hood stuff and radiator support. it is a perfect match.

Well I will see how good the re-pop Goodmark QPs and other parts are for fitment.
Just purchased a Drivers QP, Tail panel, trunk extension and trunk floor.
Will see how all this fits on factory...

The scoop is molded pressed fiberglass.
I would use fiberglass to repair as it will last longer if done right.
Especially for a clean break like that.

Not all cars from the factory were put together correctly.
I have countless pictures of incorrectly welded cars from the factory and panel placement issue. I have a full QP take-off for the 70-73...

Yes you will need to bolt the deck lid on and adjust. There is a lot of slop in some of the deck lid hinges from the factory. Some are better and worse than others.

SEM 68422 is better suited for 70-73 flexible bumpers on Firebird /TA's.
I would not use it on Hard molded fiberglass as it will not reinforce the fiberglass cracked area and the crack will...

Sand a V grove in the crack only. Then clean with acetone or rubbing alcohol.

Hope that 403 has a built bottom end. Those E heads with make a stock bottom end 403 relieve itself out of the side of the block. Ask me how I know. Should be run on a 455 only with a built bottom...
