Clean the area around the hole, rough it up a little, Get some Marine-Tex from your local boat store, it's a two part epoxy. It is similar to JB Weld. Comes in several colors it holds up to fuel....

Try a scuba tank. at surface pressure a 63 should give you about 2 hours. The fill at the local scuba shop cost you less than 6 to 8 bucks. It's a little heavy but a roll around cart will hold it...
